Intention
The goal of Thornapple Productions is to convey the story of your business using image and word most suited to your needs.
History
Thornapple Productions was conceived by owner / director Mike Routliffe in March of 2006 in Victoria BC. This site, now in it's fifth incarnation, was created to showcase the skill set of Mike Routliffe and his associates. Mike's formal training began with a Multimedia Course at Pacific Design Academy. He has been learning in order to boost his creativity ever since. He works in the the commercial art world, in the areas of Communications Design (Web, Print Design and Photography), and the fine art world (Film, Photography, Photo-manipulation).

Mike Routliffe is a professional graphic designer/multimedia artist, writer, photographer, film connaisseur and amateur film maker. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, in a variety of roles, which gives him the abilities of learning and adapting quickly to new environments, two essential skills in the field of graphic communication and web architecture. He works with a Nikon D50 using both natural and studio light environments. Mike has extensive experience in photo-editing and post production, utilizing Photoshop and Lightroom for the majority of his photo-real work. Through a variety of experiences he is also quite adept as a digital designer. Although he grew up in Kingston and Hamilton, Ontario, he has also lived in Montreal, Toronto, Prince George, Sooke, Mexico, and Vancouver. Victoria, British Columbia has been his home for close to ten years. This site is a work in progress, but is anything ever complete, or merely working towards a state of completion?________________________
Sarah Head is a strategic communicator with experience working in both Vancouver and Victoria in the high tech, not-for-profit and financial services industries. She is often recognized for her upbeat energy, creativity and enthusiasm for her profession. Over the past several years, Sarah has managed to build a strong and broad communications portfolio which includes extensive project management, corporate event planning and execution, re branding and brand maintenance, copy writing, media relations and both internal and external communication planning. She is just as comfortable leading as she is doing what is necessary to get a job done on time and on budget. With a passion for creating meaningful relationships mixed with a desire to learn from all her experiences, Sarah thrives on new challenges. Sarah holds both a Bachelor of Arts with a major is Sociology from the University of Windsor, Ontario and a diploma in Public Relations from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond, British Columbia. She currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia.
