A Workshop at Vancouver Island School of Art

This workshop is geared towards artists and designers who could benefit from learning how to make patterns and designs using Adobe Illustrator. Computer-assisted imagery can be used as source material for drawings, paintings or collage; or as part of the work itself. The workshop includes a basic introduction to how Illustrator works, making and combining shapes and colour mixing with gradients. Basic methods of saving applications for print and/or web use is also covered. You will leave this workshop with the confidence to explore and discover new design possibilities with Illustrator on your own. You will need to bring a laptop and have Adobe Illustrator installed on your computer. You can download a weeklong free trial of Adobe Illustrator prior to the start of the workshop.
